Sound Financial Partners was founded with the goal of assisting you with the changing aspects of your financial life. Our service is personalized to fit your needs with a constant focus on creating the financial stability and security you desire. Owners Pat and Debbie Whitlock utilize their combined 20 years of industry experience to provide a comprehensive suite of programs to fit your needs.
Built on the principle that all people deserve good financial information, Debbie Whitlock co-founded Sound Financial Partners in 2002 after starting her career in the financial services industry in 1996.
Her team of financial professionals create customized strategies around asset protection, accumulation and distribution for families, helping them make sense of a universe of complex information.
Debbie has a passion for creating sustainable investment strategies for women in transition due to the death of their husband or partner or due to divorce.
In February 2008 Debbie was named “Woman of the Year” by her broker-dealer, Woodbury Financial Services, Inc., for her commitment to women and investing as well as her support of other women in the financial services industry.
Debbie’s practical no-nonsense approach to client education and enrichment has made her a sought after speaker who is frequently asked to comment in the media on issues surrounding women and investing.
Recently Debbie began hosting her own internet television program, “Master Your Money,” on www.billabong-tv.com, spotlighting experts whose advice will help you make sense of your money on topics from investing for the long-term; why tightening credit standards affect you and your home loan options, to your personal credit score and identity theft.
Debbie holds life and disability insurance licenses in the states of Washington and Oregon, securities licenses 6 & 63 in the state of Washington, and is a CFP candidate through Boston University. Debbie serves as Vice Chair to the Living Legacy Foundation board of directors, Secretary to the Advisory Board at LifeCenter Northwest, and Secretary to Griefworks board of directors. She lives in West Seattle and dedicates her free time to her husband Pat, Harley the Black Lab and friends.
Pat, in addition to serving his clients, utilizes his exceptional
customer service background to oversee many of the associate professionals within the agency and is knowledgeable in traditional insurance programs and plan designs, encompassing life, disability and long term care issues. Pat holds life and disability insurance licenses in the states of Washington and Oregon.
Civicly Pat spends his free time working with The First Tee.
Harley joined the Sound Financial team in February, 2007 as The Fido of Finance. His office days of Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays are centered on playing chase, working on his puppy manners and tricks to entertain as well as naps on his big fluffy bed.
